Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of NovaDocket. They should be read together with the Privacy Policy and the pricing shown at subscription.

Last updated 29 August 2026

1. Agreement and operator

NovaDocket is operated by Five Star Finishing Solutions Pty Ltd in Victoria, Australia. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using NovaDocket, the account holder agrees to these Terms and confirms that they have authority to bind the relevant business.

2. The service

NovaDocket provides business tools that may include invoices, estimates, customer records, expenses, recurring workflows, payment records, document sharing, notifications, accountant access, reporting, BAS-preparation assistance and optional third-party connections. Feature availability may depend on plan status, provider availability, configuration and location.

NovaDocket is administrative software. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it does not replace a registered tax agent, accountant or other qualified adviser. Any BAS or accountant pack is a preparation and handover tool unless a separate authorised provider performs lodgement.

3. Accounts and security

  • Account information must be accurate and kept current.
  • Login credentials and verification codes must be kept secure and must not be shared improperly.
  • The account holder is responsible for authorised users, business members and activity performed through the account.
  • Suspected unauthorised access must be reported promptly.

4. Subscriber content and customer information

Subscribers retain ownership of the business content they enter or upload. They grant NovaDocket a limited licence to host, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as reasonably required to provide, secure and support the service.

Subscribers must have a lawful basis and appropriate authority to collect, use and share personal information entered into NovaDocket, including customer, supplier, worker and accountant information. Subscribers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their documents, prices, GST treatment, payment instructions, communications and record-keeping.

5. Acceptable use

NovaDocket must not be used to:

  • break the law, infringe rights, mislead recipients or facilitate fraud;
  • send spam, harassment, malicious code or unauthorised marketing;
  • access another person’s account, business or data without authority;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or bypass security or usage controls; or
  • upload content that is unlawful, harmful or not authorised for processing.

6. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Current prices, trial terms, inclusions and billing frequency are shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Third-party provider fees—such as payment, email, accounting or social-platform fees—are separate unless expressly included.

A subscriber may cancel through the available billing controls. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not ordinarily refund a completed billing period, except where required by law or expressly agreed. Access may continue until the end of the paid period.

7. Third-party services

Optional connections are governed by the relevant provider’s terms, privacy practices, permissions and availability. NovaDocket is not responsible for a provider’s outage, refusal, policy change, review decision, payment dispute or content-removal decision. The subscriber authorises NovaDocket to send and receive the information necessary to operate each connection they enable.

8. Availability, changes and backups

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, secure, improve, replace or discontinue features. Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice of a material change that adversely affects active subscribers.

Subscribers should keep copies of records they are legally required to retain. Export and accountant handover tools assist with this responsibility but do not transfer the subscriber’s record-keeping duties.

9. Intellectual property

NovaDocket, its software, design, branding and original content remain owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the subscriber’s internal business purposes while access remains authorised.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, unlawful use, serious misuse or protection of other users. We may terminate access for a material breach that is not remedied where remedy is possible. Account closure and data requests are handled consistently with the Privacy Policy, legal retention obligations and the Data Deletion Instructions.

11. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law, NovaDocket is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunity, or loss caused by inaccurate subscriber content, unauthorised instructions, third-party services or failure to keep legally required records. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law and having regard to the circumstances.

12. Governing law, changes and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We may update them to reflect service, provider or legal changes. The updated date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
